Even after Ikram Goldman’s years of traveling the globe in search of new finds for her Chicago boutique, fashion still has the power to take this style guru by surprise—like her recent discovery of Montreal-based label UNTTLD. “It’s really one of the best finds I’ve discovered at New York Fashion Week in recent years,” says Goldman. “They just showed there for the first time, and I was so surprised at their level of confidence and expertise. They have this couture sensibility that translates in the garments, like a tied jacket with the perfect amount of draping, or a dress that gives you just enough in the hip so you have a great shape without being constricted. They’re working with lace and silks and satins that are so soft and light, and it’s exciting to have clothes that are so feminine.
