Looking fabulous can often mean sacrificing comfort in the name of fashion—but not in the case of upstart French brand Ligo, whose hallmark is creating stylish garments that are also the epitome of ease. Chicago boutique owner Ikram Goldman has joined the brand’s growing cadre of A-list fans. “This is a wonderful, wearable, one-size-fits-all collection,” Goldman notes, adding. “It’s an easy pant, an easy coat, a beautiful blouse and a gorgeous jacket, all utilitarian and with a ton of style.” Describing the aesthetic as a mix of Issey Miyake and iconic ’80s/’90s designer Zoran, she envisions a woman wearing the garments day into night, saying “There’s a long knit dress that I see her going to work in with a pair of combat boots, then putting on a pair of great high-heel boots and throwing on gorgeous jewelry and going out for the evening, It’s just a sharp, well-made collection that deserves a closet and a body to showcase it.” 15 E.
