Ian Somerhalder brought a little slice of Hollywood to Chicago, hosting the first Ian Somerhalder Foundation gala.
THE PARTY
One of Hollywood’s chicest power couples is also one of its most philanthropic: Actor Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed, came to Chicago and hosted a star-studded bash to raise money for the Ian Somerhalder Foundation at Galleria Marchetti.
THE PEOPLE
The gala was co-chaired by local jewelry designer Graziela Kaufman, the founder of Graziela Gems. More than 250 guests mingled with the actors throughout the night, including supermodel Karolina Kurkova, who turned heads in a stunning off-the-shoulder black gown.
THE PINNACLE
Throughout the night, guests furiously bid on coveted items such as a visit to The Vampire Diaries set in Georgia and a New York Fashion Week package that was presented by Kurkova herself. The enchanting evening raised $200,000 for the foundation and the causes it champions, including environmental issues and animal rights. -Sadie Miller
