Jewel Tones

| November 1, 2013 | Parties National

THE PARTY Fifty of Chicago’s most notable women, including members of the Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet, attended an intimate gathering to view the latest collections from luxury Swiss jeweler de Grisogono. THE SCENE Giovanni Mattera, the United States brand ambassador for de Grisogono, and Whitney Lasky, member of the Women’s Board, co-hosted the private luncheon at Spiaggia. Over pinot grigio and hors d’oeuvres, de Grisogono treated the ladies to a display of its classic pieces and a preview of new favorites, like the Mistero—an intriguing new jewel with a glamorous yet delicate nanoceramic coat hiding its gold. We mingled with tastemakers in attendance, like Women’s Board members Sophie Bross, Laura Kofoid, Elizabeth Ryan and Liz Sharp, as well as Two Penny Blue founder Marie Whitney, model Saira Cooper and new Check Please! host Catherine De Orio. THE HIGHLIGHTS The ladies enjoyed a meal by Executive Chef Sarah Grueneberg, and everyone left with a gift bag full of glam goodies, like the Bois Florentin candle by Alberto Morillas and an assortment of sweet treats from Lasky.
