July 4th 2021 is going to be a big one. Bring the whole family and celebrate Independence Day in the USA with the best fireworks in Chicago and beyond.

Navy Pier

One of Chicago’s favorite sky spectacles, the Navy Pier fireworks are back and better than ever this summer. The Pier will be taking July 4th weekend off from the show, but you can get your fix with bi-weekly shows on both Saturdays and Wednesdays through Labor Day weekend. 600 E. Grand Ave.

Lincolnshire

The town of Lincolnshire’s annual “Red, White and BOOM!” festival is on the books for Independence Day. As usual, the fireworks will be launched from across the Des Plaines River from Spring Lake Park. This year, there will be a high-altitude show that can be seen from the comfort of your home—a great option for those looking to stay socially distanced. However, in-person festivities will go on including live music, food and more. 49 Oxford Drive

Schaumburg
Ready to watch a ball game? The Schaumburg Boomers are back. Their games held at Wintrust Field are a local favorite for watching fireworks. This summer, enjoy fireworks after home games July 2nd through 4th with a special extended show on Independence Day—so grab a Chicago-style dog and make a day out of it. 1999 S. Springinsguth Road

Northbrook

We’re in luck—Northbrook Park District has announced a firework show at dusk on July 4. Watch the spectacle from Meadowhill Park and Techny Prairie Park and Fields. A day before the fireworks, stop by the park for the Liberty Loop 5k, live music and a movie and DJ, a perfect weekend of fun for the family. Intersection of Voltz and Waukegan roads

Naperville

A good cause for veterans and lots of fun, the Naperville Salute will be held at Rotary Hill July 2-3 and will include food, beer and local music, with fireworks at dusk on July 4 at Frontier Park in South Naperville. Rotary Hill: 440 Aurora Ave.; Frontier Park: 3380 Cedar Glade Drive

Barrington

The festivities in Barrington will commence July 2 with a concert in the Metra Station parking lot and fireworks at dusk. Celebrate the pending show with the annual pre-parade celebrating Barrington’s businesses, sports teams, dance troops and more. July 3 parade begins at 10am; fireworks at 198 Park Ave.
