Landmarks Illinois, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving historic places of cultural and architectural significance, hosted its annual spring fundraiser, Preservation Forward, at a fittingly historic location: The Old Post Office.
More than 700 attendees, including emcee LeeAnn Trotter of NBC Chicago, celebrated the organization’s preservation efforts. Amy Mills, Paola Aguirre Serrano, Amanda Williams and Calvin L. Holmes also attended, and senior vice president of Affordable Housing Sarah Wick represented Related Midwest as they were honored for their innovative work.
Guests enjoyed cuisine from the venue’s food hall, From Here On, and additional light bites from 17th Street Barbecue. The ceremony raised $730,000 for Landmarks Illinois’ mission-driven work and was followed by an afterparty at the Telegram Lounge on the second floor of the Post Office.
