The city’s biggest annual outdoor pop-up gala is returning for its 10th year, drawing in an expected crowd of more than 3,000 in-the-know Chicagoans. On July 24, Le Dîner en Blanc Chicago will host dining, drinking, dancing and lively conversation at a top-secret location—which will remain under wraps until the moment guests arrive (visitors will be escorted by a volunteer from a selected departure location).
The French-inspired fête urges its guests to wear all white, a staple feature since its foundation in 2012.
“Le Dîner en Blanc is an event that transports people into another world,” says Chicago event co-host Lauren Haras. “The sea of people adorned in white, opportunities to meet new people or reunite with longtime friends, and getting dressed up for a dinner à la française will come together to create an unforgettable experience we are honored and excited to again bring to Chicagoans as we celebrate a decade!”
The soirée aims to unite community members through their mutual passions for fashion, friendship and the culinary arts.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own accompaniments, like a picnic basket with their favorite gourmet food, stemware, dinnerware, spirit-free drinks and other essentials. Local caterer and dining partner Blue Plate Chicago will provide picnic baskets available to purchase and pick up on-site.
Le Dîner en Blanc Chicago 2024 is brought to life through a collaboration between local organizers (Lauren Haras, Roger Hobby, Scott Schwartz and James Wild), Diner en Blanc International and local partners Glunz Family Winery and Louis Glunz Wines.
To attend the soiree, prospective guests can register on Le Dîner en Blanc Chicago’sfan list for a chance to purchase tickets.
