Let's Dance!

THE PARTY The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) launched its 23rd season with Jubalee, its annual gala hosted by Bill Kurtis and held at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. THE SCENE CHRP, a year-round presenter of American tap dance and contemporary percussive arts, entertained the 200 guests with a number of performances featuring BAM!, Kalapriya, FootworKINGz and some of Chicago’s finest dance artists. Broadway star Ted Louis Levy, accompanied by jazz legend Willie Pickens, surprised this year’s Jubalee honorees Susan and Ted Oppenheimer with a performance.
The bottom line The hard work of gala co-chairs Michael Foster and Diana Harris helped raise more than $200,000. Photos by Cindy Kurman
