It’s no secret that at CS, we love a good party. And after 20 years of covering the most fabulous fetes, we are looking back on last year's milestone anniversary that was celebrated with a noteworthy bash of our own.
Friends of the magazine gathered at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Modern Wing to help celebrate and be the first ones to peruse the 20th Anniversary Issue, which debuted at the party. Publisher John Carroll, Editor-in- Chief David Zivan and Associate Publisher Brooke Hubbuch stepped into the spotlight to toast the magazine and the many familiar faces at the party who had previously appeared in our pages (Carroll gave a hat tip to Michael Kutza, founder of the Chicago International Film Festival, who graced one of our earliest covers). The September issue’s Women of Style, chicly attired as always, also mingled with partygoers. Guests delighted in creative food stations—a pretzel bar, charcuterie station and cotton candy, to name a few—from Bon Appétit, while sipping beverages from Terlato Wines International, Bacardi USA/ Bombay Sapphire and Stella Artois. And DJ Matt Roan spun the night away under a custom CS20 neon sign, which has found a happy new home in the CS offices. Here’s to 20 more years!
