The Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers played host to 800 revelers in honor of the Ronald McDonald House’s 11th annual Big Mac Under Glass Fundraiser, set to the theme A Night Under the Big Top. The fun-filled event featured dancing, live entertainment, a silent auction—and 400 McDonald’s cheeseburgers served on dazzling silver platters.
The People
In addition to a magician, unicyclist and stiltwalker, the evening’s entertainment featured comedian Pat McGann, who emceed alongside famed clown Ronald McDonald. Co-chairs and board members Jeff Cantalupo and Jodi Keller presented a touching award to United Scrap Metal CEO and founder Marsha Serlin and son Brad Serlin for their outstanding partnership with the charity.
Best in Show
One lucky galagoer went home with a stunning Rolex watch after succeeding at the evening’s special heads-or-tails raffle. But the real winners were the families who will benefit from the astounding $540,000 raised that evening for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
