THE PARTY The fifth annual Big Shoulders Fund Ball brought in a record-breaking crowd of 600 of Chicago’s leading professionals who filled the River East Art Center, helping to raise $90,000. THE PLAYERS In a nod to the charity’s work in inner-city Catholic schools, the crowd—including Big Shoulders Fund Co-Chairman and Founder James O’Connor, President Monsignor Ken Velo, Executive Director Josh Hale and Auxiliary Board President Mark Kirchner—made its way through the school-themed food line, courtesy of Blue Plate Catering and Turano Baking Company.
