The Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation’s annual benefit was a pink-hued, hope-filled event with guests in elegant pink gowns admiring Michigan Avenue’s iconic “BIG Hope” sculpture, which was brought in just for the occasion. Hosted at Theater on the Lake, the night was made even more special with the word “hope” etched into guests’ ice cubes.
The foundation’s co-founders, Lynn Sage’s daughters Laura Sage and Halee Sage, emphasized their commitment to advancing the cause, while Dr. Olusimbo Ige, Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, was the evening’s honoree. The gala drew an A-list crowd of over 800 attendees, with a special appearance by breast cancer survivor and Real Housewives of Miami personality Guerdy Abraira.
The more than $1.2 million raised will support early-career doctors and fund potential breakthrough research. The benefit played a pivotal role in gathering the nation’s leading organizations, which strive to ensure equitable access to pioneering treatments for the 1 in 8 women impacted by breast cancer.
