THE PARTY Guest of honor Lady Valerie Solti graced Chicago with her presence to host the League of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Fall in Love With Music luncheon and concert at the University Club of Chicago. THE SCENE The CSO played selections by Dvořák for more than 200 guests in attendance and also shared their personal reflections and experiences of the maestro Sir Georg Solti, former CSO conductor and Lady Solti’s late husband. Attendees enjoyed squash soup, grilled salmon and a lemon tart dessert. THE PLAYERS North Shore supporters in attendance included Susan Stein, co-chair of the event, Cathy and Bill Osborne, Diane and Donald Blake, Judy Blau, Elizabeth Brock and Judy DeStefano. THE BOTTOM LINE The event raised $25,000 toward the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s mission to continue delivering outstanding musical performances in Chicago and beyond. Photos by Dan Rest
