What is your best advice for engaged couples?
Our Director of Catering, Budi Tanzil, has had the privilege to work with so many amazing couples throughout his time here at Chicago Athletic Association. Budi's best advice for engaged couples is to find the right planner for them and their partner to help navigate the planning process. Find an expert that you can openly communicate with and who fully understands your vision to bring it all to life. Hannah Chmela, our Catering Sales Manager, understands that planning a wedding may sound challenging, but enjoy the process! It doesn't have to be overwhelming if you have a supportive team. Consider opting for a full-service venue or hiring a planner to handle the nitty-gritty details, allowing you to concentrate on the enjoyable aspects like choosing food, music, and adding personal touches to your special day.

What is an interesting fact about your business?
Located right on Michigan Ave, we have some of Chicago's best outdoor spaces, such as Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, and Art Institute, right outside our front door. Inside this 1890s monument, you will find details of rich history rooted in architecture at every turn, including a grand marble staircase perfect for picture taking.
What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?
It's lovely to see couples embracing vibrant colors in their wedding choices. The current trend for spring/summer 2024 leans towards incredibly colorful floral arrangements, a departure from the more traditional whites, greens, and creams we're accustomed to. This shift adds a lively and refreshing dimension to wedding aesthetics, bringing energy and creativity into the celebration.
