THE COUPLE“It all started with a wave,” Lauren Wantroba says about her online meet-cute with Eddie Butkus Jr. Although they went to the same high school, their paths didn’t cross until Eddie sent a waving emoji via Facebook Messenger 10 years later. From then on, the two were inseparable. “When you know, you know,” Lauren says.

THE DETAILS The reception space at The Monte Bello Estate was adorned with glass candles and pink florals, alluding to a whimsical vibe that created true magic. The magic also came from the ambitious projects Lauren and her father took on, like handcrafting the wooden seating chart and unique ring-for-a-cocktail walls. “We realized we were actually quite good at [woodworking!]!” Lauren says.

THE PARTY With a T-shirt toss kicking off the reception, the night was full of a packed dance floor and fun singalongs. The bride and her sister shared a moment on the mic singing her favorite Madonna song before the couple ended their fabulous night with Taco Bell in their hotel suite. –LC
