The Party
The evening—a four-course dinner for 30, both lavish and intimate—was designed to introduce friends and loyal customers of Buccellati, the inimitable Italian jeweler, to upcoming performances at the Harris Theater. It achieved that and more: Both before and after dinner, the invited guests enjoyed a performance of arias by mezzo-soprano Laura Wilde, a student in Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center, with piano accompaniment by the dazzling Craig Terry, artistic director of the Beyond the Aria series at the Harris.

The People
All evening, guests tried on various baubles, and hosts Jacques and Marit Bohbot announced that the first $10,000 in future sales to the group would go to benefit the Harris Theater’s Access Tickets Program, which provides complimentary seats to those in need. The evening also launched a series of events in advance of the triumphant concert performance at the Harris by Torino’s world-renowned Teatro Regio opera company.
