Tell us what makes your business different from other wedding companies?
What I love about ECBG is that we have designated customer service staff to really give each client the time and attention they need and deserve. This is different from most bakeries. Sarah, who manages all the orders for our wedding clients, is so prompt, kind and diligent. She handles all details and correspondence. She is an excellent attribute to the process and to the wedding cake ordering journey.
What is something you constantly strive for?
Honestly, perfection. Or what I perceive as perfection. It is always my goal to make sure each and every order is exquisite. Each cake has to exceed expectations and we always have to over deliver. The quality must be there each and every single time.
Who inspires you?
I just had a baby in November. She inspires me to build a life for myself and for her that is safe, healthy, comfortable, full and rich. I want her to be proud of me and I want to be an example for her of a strong, successful, happy woman.
What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?
I LOVE how unique the wedding cake trends are this year. We are seeing interesting shapes, colors, piping, fruits, bows, flowers, draping... everything! I love that people are going out of the box and experimenting with their cake. It's dessert...it should be fun after all!
What is the most gratifying part of your business?
I always get the most fulfillment when my team and I accomplish an especially difficult challenge. When a new or different design has us working 20 hours on one cake alone, it is so hard in the moment, but so satisfying when it's done! We are always so proud of ourselves.
