If you are Caroline Scheeler or Devin Kirk, the trendsetting and well-traveled buyers for the iconic Jayson Home store on Clybourn, you’re undoubtedly being asked for gift-giving advice this time of year. To answer that exact question, the high-end home goods store recently launched its JH Capsule Collection, a limited-edition selection of gifts pulled directly from Scheeler and Kirk’s personal wish lists. “Devin and I see a lot of things when we’re traveling that don’t exactly fit in the home furnishings space,” Scheeler says. “This collection was curated with our customers as muse, bringing in gifts that are more personal and lifestyle-focused.” From Scheeler’s favorite cashmere wraps ($225) to perfume from Amsterdam ($185) to olive oil from Spain that she swears is life-changing ($32), to Kirk’s monogrammed leather toolbox ($375), dartboard ($175) and local Bike A Bee honey ($32), you’ll have every hostess gift and stocking stuffer covered. Everything is available both in-store and online but, as many items are local and small-batch, quantities may be limited. “Most of our customers fall into the category of ‘someone who has everything,’” Scheeler explains. “We have just the perfect gift for those people!” 1885 N.
