One Step Closer

| October 4, 2013 | Parties National

THE PARTY The inaugural Be Part of the Cure fundraising fete, which replaced the long-running Key to the Cure benefit previously held at Saks Fifth Avenue in Highland Park each fall, was held at Deerfield’s DC Sarnies this year. A sold-out crowd of more than 200 guests supported The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem’s event. THE SCENE The new format featured many of the beloved aspects of The Auxiliary’s former event with some fun new elements for loyal supporters. Blackhawks memorabilia and luxurious travel packages were just a couple of the fantastic prizes featured at the silent auction, and Mobile Music had the guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. THE BOTTOM LINE More than $50,000 raised will support Kellogg Cancer Center at NorthShore Highland Park Hospital’s clinical research efforts, educational nursing opportunities and top-of-the-line equipment Photography by Jon Hillenbrand
