From Sept. 22 to Nov. 18, The Peninsula Chicago on the Magnificent Mile is welcoming all things pop as part of a pop-up sushi dining experience called “Sushi POP!” On Friday and Saturday evenings at The Lobby restaurant of the hotel, guests can tap into their nostalgia by entering the era of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Think sushi paired with pop.
Freshly-made sushi such as Crunch Smoke Lobster Maki, Smoked Cucumber Avocado Maki and Spicy Scallop Maki will be offered at the Sushi Bar, while entrée options include Maguro Caprese, Kanpachi Crudo, Lobster Sarada, Beef Gyoza, Tempura Vegetables and more. The Lobby’s sushi chef will present a sushi tasting menu experience, as well as a variety of sashimi and nigiri. It should be noted that during the first weekend only, The Peninsula Tokyo sushi chef will be on site.
As far as the bar, cocktail options pay homage to iconic pop songs. Not to worry, the traditional selection of Japanese beers, whiskies and sakes are still yours for the choosing. As guests sip away, a DJ spinning vinyl records from pop culture movies and the chart top 100 songs will elevate the mood and make it POP!
Reservations are currently being accepted via TOCK.
