Nonprofit Pivoting in Heels, whose mission is to uplift women and equip them with the professional insight and resources they need to make change in their lives, hosted a three-day fundraising event titled Runway Latinx, produced by founder Arabel Alva Rosales, to honor women’s empowerment and raise funds for internship scholarships for BIPOC women.
Notable guests, including Miss Chicago 2022 Domenica Biondolillo, model Alma Delgado and MLB player Gerardo Reyes of the Los Angeles Angels, reveled in musical performances by cellist Lidanys Graterol and singer Marian Edwards, as well as a chic runway show.
The event finished with an influencer-led panel on digital brands and rebooting, aligning with the event’s The Reboot theme, and a presentation on the significance and styling of the Mexican rebozo garment.
Designer Carmen Seminario and a model strutted down the runway.
