Precious Memories

| July 10, 2014 | Parties

More than 940 black-tie guests met at the Hilton Chicago for the 27th Rita Hayworth Gala, which raised a record-breaking $1.7 million for the Alzheimer’s Association. Bold-face attendees included Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Hayworth’s daughter and the gala’s founder, as well as famed coach Mike Ditka, who served as emcee. Our favorite highlight from the many-splendored evening: Blackhawks national anthem singer Jim Cornelison bringing the crowd to its feet with his iconic version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” –Photos by Bill Richert
