World-premiere extravaganza Prince: The Immersive Experience presents the Purple One like you’ve never seen him before.
Prince: The Immersive Experience’s global debut in Chicago marks the first time fans can experience the late legend in such depth.
Explore the life and musical evolution of the creative force that was Prince through the global debut of multisensory exhibition Prince: The Immersive Experience, presented by The Prince Estate and production company Superfly. This interactive 60-minute production, presented throughout 10 spaces, is geared toward not just Prince fanatics, but audiophiles across generations. Step into the Purple Rain album cover by taking a photo on the record’s iconic purple motorcycle, become a producer at Prince’s beloved Paisley Park workspace Studio A, and explore the artist’s cutting-edge outfits.
“It’s not just an experience for Prince super fans—[it’s] important for us to make this experience exciting for all music lovers,” says Superfly co-founder Kerry Black. The Prince Estate has also shared a selection of the late artist’s apparel, instruments, historical photography, memorabilia and more. Be sure not to miss his cloud guitar, the gold statement suit he wore at the 2015 American Music Awards and lighting component designed by Prince’s longtime production and lighting designer, Roy Bennett.
“It is an absolute honor to partner with The Prince Estate to create an experience that celebrates Prince’s legendary music and the visionary way that he lived his life,” Black says. “They have connected us with many of Prince’s colleagues to make this as exciting and authentic as possible. … I hope this interactive trip will inspire visitors to express themselves as passionately as Prince did.” June 9 through Oct. 9, The Shops at North Bridge, 540 N.
