What is your best advice for engaged couples?
The best piece of advice I can offer is to enjoy every moment of your engagement. The experience of getting engaged and planning your wedding should be fun and memorable. Turn your ‘to-do list’ into a ‘couples project’ and incorporate elements that will make your wedding special to you.
What is something you constantly strive for?
We strive to always be better tomorrow than we were yesterday. We deliver authentic hospitality throughout your planning experience; from your initial property visit, menu tasting and your wedding weekend. We embrace and reflect what is important to our clients by focusing on the details to create lasting memories.
What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?
My favorite trends for weddings would be bright colors and over-the-top ceiling installations. I love that couples are embracing pops of color through bold linens and vibrant floral designs. You want to make an impact and give your guests something to remember? Why not suspend an upside down garden about their heads, or drape the room in yards of fabric to create a dark and romantic vibe?
What would you like to be the new trend for weddings?
I think brunch and luncheon weddings are so underrated! The cultural influence of shows like Bridgerton can inspire a chic and stylish wedding experience for you and your guests. I think stepping away from a traditional evening event and creating a fun summer garden party would be unexpected and memorable.
How far in advance should couples book your business?
We recommend securing a venue as soon as you can commit to a preferred date. We have three luxury properties in Chicago – The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown, The Allegro Royal Sonesta and The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North. Each property offers different experiences for event spaces, unique wedding menus and guestrooms and suites. The flexibility we have across our three locations means we can help you navigate your ’couples project’ and plan the wedding of your dreams.
