Ready to Rock

| September 28, 2011 | Parties

THE PARTY The fifth annual Galapalooza—a night-before-Lollapalooza party held at the Petrillo Band Shell in Grant Park that benefits the Parkways Foundation—rocked as hard as ever, taking guests on a musical ride late into the night. THE PLAYERS Stacey Reineking Sather, SVP at Charter One, was this year’s corporate chair. Rocker and Lolla founder Perry Farrell and his wife, Etty, mingled with the crowd of Parkways supporters. THE HIGHLIGHTS It was an evening of firsts: In place of a catered dinner, a caravan of Chicago’s hottest food trucks parked around the party’s perimeter. The stage hosted three—instead of the usual two—Lollapalooza artists: Elizaveta, Walk the Moon and the party’s dance-friendly headliner, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Photos by Darkroom Demons
