THE PARTY Taste Talks—a weekend full of flavor, fun and fantastic culinary personalities—attracted more than 2,000 Chicago foodies in its second year. THE PEOPLE Things kicked off with an Island Creek Oysters and wine pairing cocktail hour and a delectable multicourse meal at Local Foods presented by premier Chicago chefs, including Jared Wentworth of Longman & Eagle and Mike Sheerin of Embeya. The evening was topped off with rich, sinful desserts by Mindy’s HotChocolate and Bang Bang Pie Shop. THE PINNACLE Sunday’s All-Star Chef BBQ was a crowd-pleaser! More than 10 top local and national chefs tempted attendees with delectable samples—our favorite was the melt-in-your-mouth mascarpone mousse paired with a tiramisu coffee cocktail featuring Heritage Outpost coffee from Tony Quartaro of local Italian hot spot Formento’s and Michael Salvatore of Heritage Bicycles. Talk about good taste! –Photos by Nick Murway
