Art and design connoisseurs looking to refresh their space for spring are in luck. A new fine art collection has arrived through the medium of interior accents.

René Romero Schuler, a Chicago painter and sculptor based on the North Shore, has launched a new product collection of home decor currently available for purchase via her website.

Schuler’s release of custom made throw pillows, prints, fabrics, wallpaper and other pieces is intended to provide a design-forward way for customers to enjoy her art while elevating their personal space.

"I created the luxury home decor collection as an extension of my fine art for those who wish to bring my imagery into their space in new and creative ways,” Schuler says.

Much of Schuler’s work is abstract, leaving space for the viewer to create their own interpretation and meaning. Products within this release follow in the style of Schuler’s paintings, featuring soft colors and a whimsical feel that is encouraged for spring and summertime redecorating or gifting to other art lovers.

The textured wallpaper mimics the impasto palette knife texture in her work, each with a repeating half-drop pattern in the Nadia Wallpaper, Bavette Wallpaper and Charlotte Wallpaper. Fabric prints are available as well, for use on furniture or other purposes.

Velvet Everyday Throw Pillow are double stuffed in a variety of fabric options with an included insert, made custom to order. Feminine figures and horses appear against a range of colors, from soft pink to muted blue-gray.

A line of summer tea towels is also included, bearing a feminine figure in a blue-dress against a white background that would add a bit of fun and color to any kitchen or living space.

Many of the prints include nature-inspired themes of butterflies and horses, as well as the feminine and faceless figures that often appear in her artistic works. Her high art is partly self-portraiture, exploring themes of love, sorrow, solitude and heartbreak.
