The School of the Art Institute of Chicago welcomed fashion and art lovers from across the nation to enjoy a fabulous runway show, featuring avant-garde attire by SAIC's Fashion Design BFA candidates and more than 40 graduating seniors. This year's show was the largest ever in the show's 78-year history, with more than 300 garments showcased by more than 70 professional models from Factor Runway. The show wrapped up with the unique creations of the largest graduating class in SAIC Fashion Design history. SAIC alumna and successful fashion designer, Cynthia Rowley; and editor and contemporary art gallery owner, Bill Powers, were honored with the 2012 SAIC Legend of Fashion Award, presented by SAIC President Walter Massey and New York magazine art critic Jerry Saltz. Guests mingled and enjoyed a strolling dinner on Harris Theater's Rooftop Terrace after the magnificent presentations.
