The School of the Art Institute of Chicago held an online art auction on Artsy and hosted its A Happening Auction Party benefit at SAIC’s flagship public gallery.
The auction recognized over 80 artists and designers, and nearly 300 art enthusiasts attended. Notable guests included Linda Johnson Rice, Phyllis Bramson, Lora Fosberg, Judith Geichman, Lorraine Peltz, Paul Rocca and Mary Lou Zelazny.
More than 67 works were sold, generating over $641,000 to fund student scholarships.
