Chicago’s next generation of artistic innovators took center stage at the Harris Theater during A Taste for the Arts, the joyous annual benefit for The Chicago Academy of the Arts. After an inspiring program that put the spotlight on student dance, film and music, a sold-out crowd of 450 gala-goers made their way to the Millennium Park Terrace, where they discovered gourmet tasting stations manned by some of the city’s most respected culinary stars. Flavorful experiences abounded, from Rick Bayless’ vibrant tuna, scallop and mango ceviche to Andrew Zimmerman’s smoked duck breast with hints of almond and rhubarb. Even more satisfying: The night raised more than $417,000 for arts education. –Photos by Bob Carl and Leigh Loftus
