Service Strut

| October 10, 2012 | Parties

The Party The Service Club of Chicago welcomed 260 guests to The Peninsula Chicago for the charity’s 26th annual luncheon and fashion show, A Day on the Terrace. This year’s Parisian theme could be seen in images of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe that illuminated the ballroom, as well as a performance by a mime artist. The Players Following a Champagne reception on the terrace (and a few backstage cocktails for the models, natch!), Chicagoans strutted down the runway to French music while wearing fall’s hottest looks provided by Escada, Intermix, Ralph Lauren, Neapolitan Collection, Burdi, Tom James, Stuart Weitzman, Neiman Marcus and more. Walking in the 45-minute Zzazz Productions-produced show were Julius Few, Mary Ann Childers, Robin Robinson, Kip Lewis, Candace Jordan, D.C. Crenshaw, Greg Hyder, Bunky Cushing, and Modern Luxury’s own John Carroll, Amy Wimer and Matt Lee, to name a few.The Bottom Line Hosted by co-chairs Jean Antoniou, Tracey Di Buono and Saira Cooper, and chair emeritus Hazel Barr, the annual event was a success yet again, made sweeter only by the Mariano’s Fresh Market cookies that followed the luncheon.Photography by Caitlin Saville Photography and John Reilly Photography
