Show Stopper

| January 22, 2015 | Parties

Mayor Rahm Emanuel had a lively chat with the supremely dapper AndrĂ© De Shields—who was opening a show in New York the next night. Artistic director Robert Falls read congratulatory notes from Carol Burnett and Stephen Sondheim, titans both, and other theater luminaries mingled all evening—all to celebrate the Goodman Theatre’s 90th season. The evening concluded, aptly enough, with a stirring performance by Tony Award-winner Heather Headley of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” Everyone did. –Photos courtesy of John Reilly Photography
