THE PARTY Chicago Opera Theater celebrated its 38th season—and last one with distinguished General Director Brian Dickie—at its annual gala, A Celebration Less Ordinary. Recognizing Dickie’s passion for identifying and developing young talent, the COT Board of Directors presented the Brian Dickie Outstanding Young Singer Award to Cecelia Hall. THE SCENE More than 200 guests enjoyed Latin bites and beats at Carnivale. Later they were treated to a performance by Grammy Award winner Sylvia McNair.
