A Signature Event

| April 6, 2012 | Parties

THE PARTY Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness Organization hosted a fundraising luncheon at The Signature Room at the 95th. THE SCENE The crowd of 150 perused a silent auction and sipped teal cocktails in honor of the nationally recognized color for the cause. During the luncheon, Chicago playwright and actress Regina Taylor and charity co-founders Susan Roman and Vallie Szymanski shared stories of their mothers, who all battled cancer. THE BOTTOM LINE Sadly, Susan Roman passed away in the months following this event; the $21,000 raised will help continue her mission to increase awareness of ovarian cancer.
