Silent Voices

| April 28, 2011 | Parties

The Party: Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) hosted its 25th annual spring gala, Sounds of Silence, in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The Players: Natalie Martinez emceed the event while 275 guests participated in a silent auction and mystery wine raffle, followed by a seated dinner of grilled Amish chicken breast with white basil and artichoke, white truffle oil-infused whipped potatoes and a crème brûlée trio in miniature chocolate tulip cups. The Bottom Line: The evening raised nearly $180,000 for CAWC programming.
