JULY Torres and Andreas Zafiriadis celebrated their cultures in not one but two weddings. “In Greek culture, it is customary to do a formal engagement where both families get together and the priest blesses the wedding bands,” explains the groom. He asked July to surprise their families by saying “I do” at the engagement. “I was excited because in Ecuadorian culture we have a civil wedding before the ecclesiastical,” July says. “This was the first time we blended our cultures.”
The amalgamation of their Greek and Ecuadorian cultures was equally important on their official big night at the Four Seasons, and they needed bold decor worthy of the love being celebrated. “We love Baccarat and the romance and elegance it transmits,” July notes of the inspiration behind their Baccarat red and crystal scheme, dreamt up by the groom and Kehoe Designs’ Austin Repasy. “Inspired by the Baccarat Hotel, we designed the concept of roses and crystals intentionally to create an atmosphere full of the passion and love that we feel for each other.”
