Step Up, a nonprofit that guides girls and young women toward success, celebrated its inaugural Chicago Inspiration Awards at Artifact Events. In honor of the organization’s 25th anniversary, guests heard from participants and mentors impacted by its programs.
CEO Delores Druilhet Morton led the festivities, honoring recipients, including Executive Honoree Sonia Menon and Young Adult Honoree Monica Laddaran. Presenters Elizabeth Radichel and Val Warner joined in recognizing guests for their achievements and contributions to the community.
Surprise videos from Awkwafina and Constance Marie added to the excitement of the evening, which, with the Los Angeles awards, raised $750,000 to bolster mentorship initiatives.
