Meghan accessorized her Vera Wang gown with Jimmy Choos, jewelry by Untamed Petals and a monobotanical bouquet of long-stemmed white roses.
THE COUPLE It’s fitting that Meghan McKeown and Patrick Wallace met at a Loyola University basketball game, as sports have always been a huge part of their lives; even today, Meghan is a sports broadcaster and Patrick is a college basketball coach. “I made him work to get my number!” Meghan says with a laugh—but eventually, she gave it to him, and they dated for two years before Patrick proposed.
THE DETAILS Naturally, their North Shore wedding was filled with nods to basketball. The couple had customized Nikes made for the reception, where they sipped on signature drinks dubbed the Cinderella Story and the Bracket Buster.
THE PARTY The dance floor at Sunset Ridge Country Club was packed all night—and came complete with a flip-flop station so guests could kick off their heels. “My feet hurt for a good week after the wedding, and I lost my voice,” the bride says, “but it was the best dance party of all time.”
The newlyweds exited the church after officially tying the knot.
At cocktail hour, guests noshed on mini filet sandwiches, crab cakes, lamb lollipops and a selection of cheese and charcuterie.
Guest tables were topped with light blue linens, candles in glass cylinders and low arrangements of white and ivory florals.
The couple sliced into a petite cutting cake with fresh raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting.
