THE PARTY More than 150 people attended the highly anticipated grand opening party of E+O (earth and ocean) Food and Drink in Mount Prospect that also benefited Autism Speaks. THE SCENE Raffle and silent auctions included a signed Walter Payton Chicago Bears jersey, a signed Jonathan Toews Chicago Blackhawks Sports Illustrated cover, a 50-inch plasma TV and a private dinner with chef Rodelio Aglibot. Guests enjoyed an assortment of small bites, including signature sushi rolls, miso-candied bacon and pumpkin seed popcorn, and the house smoked oysters as well as house specialty cocktails like the Strawberry Sling and the Watermelon Storm. THE HIGHLIGHTS Attendees included Heart of Illinois winner Marisa Buchheit, WGN-TV reporter Nancy Loo, Kathy Hart from the Eric and Kathy Morning Show on 101.9FM The Mix. Interior designer Gary Lee was also present to accept accolades for the trendy city-style vibe of E+O.
