Sweet Home Chicago, an annual benefit for families who support WINGS, the state’s largest not-for-profit, celebrated its 19th annual event at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
More than 120 families attended, and notable guests included Elizabeth Denison, Paula Fasseas, Josh Hale, Jack Jiganti, Adam Kibort, Suzanne Le Mignot and Beth Lupo, all of whom gathered in support of the organization’s mission against domestic violence. The soiree was co-chaired by Maria Shideler, Meghan Norton and Katherine Banich; and Rita Canning and her husband, John Canning, who led the fundraising outreach, served as honorary co-chairs.
The fundraiser garnered more than $750,000—which brings the almost 20-year event total to $12.2 million—so WINGS’ safe houses can support families experiencing domestic violence.
