THE PARTY Chicago Academy for the Arts celebrated 30 years of educating up-and-coming artists with its A Taste for the Arts anniversary gala, hosted by Deann and Rick Bayless, Donna LaPietra and Bill Kurtis alongside honorary chair Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
THE SCENE After a performance at Harris Theater, 530 guests headed to the Millennium Park Terrace to sample culinary creations prepared by chefs who participated in either Top Chef, Top Chef Masters or Top Chef: Just Desserts. A live auction featured getaways like a weekend in NYC or overnight accommodations for six in the penthouse of the Palmer House Hilton. THE BOTTOM LINE The sold-out evening grossed $460,000 for the org’s programs and scholarships. Photos by Bob Carl and Jennifer Girard
