Golf enthusiasts grabbed their clubs for a cause at Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation’s Play for the Cure.
THE PARTY The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation celebrated the 25th year of the Play for the Cure Golf Outing at North Shore Country Club. Guests first enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch on the country club lawn before warming up and hitting the course.
THE PEOPLE Co-chairs Bari Anixter Mlodinoff and Melissa Mazzetta organized the day, and they greeted and mingled with the more than 80 golfers. Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation founding members Terri Lind and Lili Ann Zisook were also on hand to enjoy the gorgeous day.
THE PINNACLE After an exciting 18 holes, golfers enjoyed a cocktail reception, toasting the more than $150,000 raised for the foundation, which supports innovative developments in research and treatment of breast cancer in tandem with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Now, that’s a hole-in-one. –Sarah Ryan; photos by Sheri Whitko Photography
