THE PARTY Chicago Shakespeare Theater celebrated its annual gala at Navy Pier, where 350 guests enjoyed a three-course dinner catered by Food For Thought, paired with Van Duzer Vineyards wines and a retrospective program—created by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines, Creative Producer Rick Boynton and Artistic Associate Bob Mason—of the theater’s 25th anniversary season. THE SCENE Floral arrangements and décor from Bukiety and Frost Lighting added an enchanting and theatrical atmosphere to the space, where costumed performers acted as living art installations. THE BOTTOM LINE Nearly $1 million was raised to benefit the theater’s continuing work to encourage literacy in Chicago Public Schools. Photos by Robert Carl and Michael Litchfield
