THE PARTY The third annual Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts luncheon honored Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Julianna Margulies at the JW Marriott Chicago. THE PLAYERS Co-chairs Carole L. Brown, Elizabeth Connelly, Nene Foxhall, Donna La Pietra and Jan Melk hosted the famous actress (best known for her striking role on CBS’ The Good Wife) along with 300 guests including MK Pritzker, Estelle Walgreen, Marlene Breslow-Blitstein and Christie Hefner. THE SCENE Audio-visual designs by Frost and Topiarius florals set a sophisticated tone as Steppenwolf Artistic Director Martha Lavey engaged Margulies in an entertaining interview, where she discussed her successful stage, television and film career. THE BOTTOM LINE The sold-out event raised $150,000 for Steppenwolf Theater’s Professional Leadership Program for young professionals seeking hands-on theater experience through apprenticeships, internships and a multicultural fellowship.
