The Stars Come Out

| April 16, 2015 | Parties

The Party
Chicago’s young philanthropic stars of the Junior League of Chicago came out in full force to the Museum of Broadcast Communications for its annual gala, themed Night on the Red Carpet. The evening is the standout event of the season for the JLC, an organization dedicated to serving the community and empowering women in our city.

The People
Erin Kennedy from CBS 2 energetically emceed the evening while more than 300 guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet dinner from Blue Plate. Later, guests hit the dance floor to upbeat music of Green Thirteen, who kept the crowd on its feet all evening.

Best in Show
All eyes were on the silent auction, which presented tempting items, like a John Cougar Mellencamp signed guitar, Bliss Spa packages and a Caribbean vacation, that encouraged guests to bid high. By the end of the evening, nearly $50,000 was raised for the organization. Now that’s truly glamorous. –Photos by Melissa Song Photography
