Share what sets your business apart from other Floral & Decor companies?
Yanni Design Studio is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience in the event industry and is proudly women-owned by Marina Elyash. We offer full-production floral & decor services and feature an in-house factory to manufacture custom designs. As the only decor vendor in the Chicagoland area with a 20,000 sq. ft. showroom, we provide couples with a unique experience. Couples may schedule a consultation to meet with a designer and tour our showroom, where they will discover many new event designs and inspiration to help them envision the possibilities for their big day.
How far ahead should couples start looking for Floral and Décor services?
Couples should start inquiring for a floral and décor vendor at least 12 months before their event to ensure vendor availability. We recommend finalizing your selection no later than 6-8 months before the event date. This allows the couple to receive the maximum number of appointments, walk-throughs, and a sample viewing, all without rushing the decision-making process. While we have accommodated last-minute weddings as close as 2-3 months out, this results in a tighter timeline and quicker turnarounds for decisions.

What to ask your vendor in the initial conversation?
We recommend asking your vendor about their in-house capabilities, who you will be working with, and if they will be part of the process from start to finish. A full-production event design company can handle all your event needs, ensuring cohesion and providing you with a single point of contact. Often, your designer can also arrange external rentals such as chairs and linens, so be sure to ask your vendor if that is an option. Finally, consider the financial aspects: understand minimums, recommended investments, and see if a budget consultation is available to help you navigate the financial landscape.
How to prepare for an appointment?
Secure a date and venue before scheduling a design consultation, as the design process heavily relies on floor plans. Bring plenty of inspirational images to help your designer understand your vision. Lastly, appoint a key financial decision maker and ensure they are part of the appointments and aware of where costs are being allocated.

What do you think is essential for any wedding?
A good vendor team that works well together and with you is essential for your big day. It's important to feel comfortable openly sharing your opinions with your vendors to ensure everything is exactly how you envision. When it comes to decor, sample appointments are invaluable because they provide you with an opportunity to preview your decor beforehand. This ensures any changes and adjustments can be made, avoiding surprises on the big day. You may also ask your decor vendor to provide a rendering if needed, for additional visual representation.
