What is the best advice for engaged couples?
I would say; enjoy your evening it does go fast, take it all in. 2. Have a wedding planner to take care of your special event, you want to enjoy yourself and not worry about the details.
What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?
I love the new term “Micro” Wedding, up to 25, I’m enjoying seeing smaller wedding with close family and best friends 50-100ish. Since Co-vid this has been the trend. It’s so nice to see the wedding couples are having smaller events and doing more with Décor and food & Beverage due to less guests.
What do you think is essential for any wedding?
Experience Wedding Planner, good food and beverage, a good wedding coordinator at the event space where you are having your event. They should see your vision and work with you to achieve your “Dream Wedding” Please don’t sweat the small stuff.

Thompson Chicago is a Life Style Brand of Hyatt, located in the Gold Coast in Chicago. Our culinary department is in the “know” best practices and the latest trends in Food & Beverage. We have the freedom to be creative and work with the wedding couples on their vision, of the Dream Wedding.
What big News do you want to Share?
Exciting things are happening at Thompson Chicago! The hotel is partnering with Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants to take over food and beverage operations at the hotel. Over the next few months, the restaurant will undergo a major renovation to create an exciting upscale new venue over two floors.
