Amy Geister and Alex Tutt dated when they were teenagers, but—as teenage romantics often do—they drifted apart. A decade later, fate brought them back together, and their love blossomed. After Alex surprised Amy with a ring in 2022, they sought a romantic destination for their wedding—with an added sense of adventure. “We wanted to celebrate our wedding in a city we had never traveled to,” Amy shares. They decided to tie the knot at Villa Le Fontanelle in Florence, and their timeless celebration included soft blush and sage hues set against the stunning Tuscan hills.
The couple’s ceremony included a heartfelt wine-blending ritual, and the stunning reception featured a multi-course Italian feast and whimsical gelato cart. A lively Italian folk trio played during the garden cocktail hour, followed by a DJ at the reception who kept the energy high and encouraged guests to dance late into the night.
Instead of a traditional honeymoon, the couple celebrated with 30 guests in Rome and Hvar, Croatia, before enjoying an additional week of fun with family in Greece. “It was a trip of a lifetime,” Amy reflects, “to be in so many beautiful places with the people we love so much.”
