Clubs’ wine dinner.
THE PARTY The 21st annual Wine Dinner benefiting the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs brought guests together for a decadent meal paired with wines from Grgich Hills Estate. Dishes, prepared by chef Michael Garbin, included roasted and stuffed duck leg with wild rice and sun-dried blueberries paired with a 2014 merlot. THE PEOPLE Craig Labus, new president of the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs, toasted the successful evening among friends and supporters. Sean Barrett and Jordan Warners, representatives for Grgich Hills Estate, were on hand to provide tips and tricks to oenophiles. THE PINNACLE Now in its 99th year of service, the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs support more than 14,000 members across Chicago. The $80,000 raised at the Wine Dinner will continue to aid the organization in its after-school programming and fostering of healthy peer and adult relationships -Jaclyn Jermyn
