THE PARTY Urban Gateways celebrated its Art for All gala at Venue One in the West Loop, raising more than $250,000 to benefit the nonprofit arts education program for Chicago’s youth. THE PLAYERS Gala co-chairs Eric and Cheryl McKissack celebrated with the nearly 250 supporters who turned out for the event. THE SCENE Live and silent auction offerings included original artwork by Urban Gateways artists and luxurious trips (think a five-day sportsman’s adventure in Montana and a seven-day trip for eight at a Tuscany villa). Live performances by some of Chicago’s hippest young artists, such as FootworKINGz, Louder than a Bomb, Elements Contemporary Ballet and The Second Hand Three, fueled the festivities.
